Privacy Policy
Pulseboard: Health Widgets. Last updated 7 November 2026.
Pulseboard is made by MINIMA APPS LIMITED, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: Pulseboard reads your own Fitbit data from Google, shows it to you on your iPhone, and keeps it on your iPhone. We run no server, so we never receive it.
Google user data Pulseboard accesses
Pulseboard works with your Fitbit data. After you sign in with Google and approve access, it reads data from the Google Health API using these four read-only OAuth scopes. Pulseboard cannot change or delete your data at Google.
- googlehealth.activity_and_fitness.readonly: your activity and fitness data, such as steps, distance, floors climbed, active calories and active or exercise minutes.
- googlehealth.health_metrics_and_measurements.readonly: your health metrics and measurements, such as heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and body weight.
- googlehealth.sleep.readonly: your sleep data, such as when you slept and how long.
- googlehealth.nutrition.readonly: your nutrition data, such as the calories eaten from food you log in Fitbit, for the Calories widget and the Today card.
Pulseboard also receives the OAuth tokens that Google issues so the app can keep you signed in. Pulseboard asks only for the scopes above.
How we use it
We use this data only to show you your own stats: in Pulseboard's widgets (Home Screen, Lock Screen and StandBy), in the app, and when you ask Siri or Shortcuts about your stats. Siri and Shortcuts answers are produced on your device. We do not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, analytics, profiling, or to train any AI or machine learning model.
Where your data goes
Your data goes from Google directly to your iPhone. Pulseboard has no server and no account system, and we cannot see your data. Pulseboard has no analytics or tracking.
Storage, retention and deletion
- Cached data: a snapshot of the values shown in your widgets is cached on your iPhone, in the app's private App Group container, so widgets can display it. It stays on your device and is not uploaded or synced anywhere by us.
- Sign-in tokens: your Google OAuth tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your iPhone.
- Retention: we keep this data only until you disconnect or delete the app.
- Disconnect: choosing Disconnect in Pulseboard's Settings revokes the Google token and deletes the cached data from your iPhone.
- Deleting the app deletes the cached data from your iPhone. To also withdraw Google's access, use Disconnect first or revoke access as described below.
Sharing, selling and transfer
We do not share, sell, rent or transfer your Google user data to anyone. It is not given to advertisers, data brokers or any other third party, and no person at Minima Apps reads it, because it never reaches us.
Revoking access
You can stop Pulseboard accessing your Google data at any time, in either of these ways:
- In Pulseboard, open Settings and tap Disconnect.
- In your Google Account, go to myaccount.google.com/permissions, choose Pulseboard and remove access.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Pulseboard's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Optional features that use iCloud (CloudKit)
Pulseboard has optional in-app features to send a feature request or a bug report. They work only if you choose to send one. What you submit is stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) under your iCloud identity. A bug report may include your device model, iOS version and app version. Your Google user data is never included in feature requests or bug reports. Apple's handling of CloudKit data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Purchases
Pulseboard Pro and Lifetime are bought through Apple. Apple processes your payment and handles your purchase records. The app does not see your payment details.
Children
Pulseboard is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Your Google data is held on your own iPhone and you control it with Disconnect and by deleting the app. If you want to ask about any information we hold, such as a feature request or bug report you sent, contact us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date above, and the new version will apply from then. We will ask for your consent again if we ever need new Google permissions.
